Top Tip: Don’t put out an online ad offering your services as a fake date. Someone will take you up on it.
And it won’t just be for one night.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I ended up being Mason Jackson’s fake girlfriend.
He didn’t even want me to be. No—his sister was solely responsible for me being his date for his ten-year high school reunion.
Now, she’s responsible for telling his parents our relationship is real.
We have no choice. We have to act like this isn’t all a mistake, like it’s not all fake, like we’re totally, completely, utterly, head-over-heels in love with each other.
Simple, right?
Wrong.

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions expressed in my review are my own.

This book was absolutely delightful! It had me laughing out loud throughout the entire story. I seriously couldn't put it down.

The main characters in the story were fantastic! Their chemistry was off the charts hot. Their banter and the spark between them really drove the story. I immediately fell in love with Lauren's no-holds-barred personality. She was unapologetically herself and she didn't hold back. She constantly had me laughing with her witty humor. Mason was just as much of an open book as Lauren. I loved getting both of their POVs in the story. I loved Mason's crazy family and the way that Lauren seamlessly melted into their ranks.

I really enjoyed the romance. Since the chemistry was written so well, the romantic tension was simmering. I love that the main characters were so alike and that they truly got along perfectly. They fit each other like puzzle pieces.

The plot of this story is a fake romance trope and Emma Hart really pulls it off well. Mostly because of the wonderful way that she writes the chemistry between the main characters. There was enough conflict to make things interesting and everything plays out in a very believable way. The only thing that I didn't like about the book was the length. There was no problem with the story, but it felt like it was over way too quickly. This is a rather short title. I would have preferred to see more happen between the two main characters. The conflicts were present but were resolved a little too quickly in my opinion.

Overall, I couldn't have been happier with this story! This is my first time reading Emma Hart but it will not be my last! I love her writing style. It is so smooth and her characters are wildly entertaining. I can't wait to dive into another book by Emma Hart!

She is a mother, wife, lover of wine, Pink Goddess, and valiant rescuer of wild baby hedgehogs.

Emma prides herself on her realistic, snarky smut, with comebacks that would make a PMS-ing teenage girl proud.

Yes, really. She's that sarcastic.
