I was four when my parents gave me my first pair of skates. By six, I was hooked on hockey and couldn’t get enough. At twelve, I had made a name for myself on the ice. And when I was fifteen, colleges were starting to take notice.

Life was great—until it wasn’t. Because when I was seventeen, my best friend died in my arms. And nothing made sense after that. Drinking turned to smoking. And smoking turned to pills. But no matter how high I got, I couldn’t erase that night. Or the guilt I felt.

Because that night had been my fault. And my friend was dead … because of me.

As my best friend’s baby sister, an actual angel sent from above, Haley Thompson is forbidden fruit, and I should stay away from her. Because everything I touch turns to crap. But like all things I’m not supposed to do, chasing her is another temptation I’m not strong enough to avoid. But when I spiral down, hitting my lowest point, I know I can’t take her with me. Because innocent, sweet souls like her, they don’t belong at the bottom.

The trouble is, she refuses to let go of me. Even if it will ruin her.

Even if I will ruin her.

Goodreads:

Disclaimer: I received this book at no cost from the publisher/author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I am leaving a voluntary review and all opinions are my own. I am in my hockey romance era so this book was just what I needed! Everything about this book ticked off so many boxes for me. After reading this one I am a bit numb. The story was so compelling and had me in a vice grip. Lost Boy has: - An original premise that was executed brilliantly and with grace. - An emotional story that hits you right in the feels. - Memorable characters that are distinct and relatable. - A college hockey romance that stands out from all the rest. - A broken MMC that you can't help but root for. - Fantastic storytelling with an author voice that really spoke to me. - A sweet, strong, and supportive FMC. - Intense character growth. - A couple with an undeniable connection. - Realistic portrayals of heavy topics. - An accidental pregnancy. - A moving story that will gut you, inspire you, and make you just feel so many emotions. Overall, this was an intense and emotional story that had me hanging on so tightly from start to finish. I am so shocked that I have never read a book from this author before. I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for new releases from this author and I am so psyched to read backlist titles. I can't recommend this book or this author enough!

Hannah Gray spends her days in vacationland, living in a small, quaint town on the coast of Maine. She is an avid reader of contemporary romance and is always in competition with herself to read more books every year.

During the day, she loves on her three perfect-to-her daughters and tries to be the best mom she can be. But once she tucks them in at night--okay, scratch that. Once they fall asleep next to her in her bed--because their bedrooms apparently have monsters in them--she dives into her own fantasy world, staying awake well into the late-night hours, typing away stories about her characters. As much as she loves being a wife and mom--and she certainly does love it--reading and writing are her outlet, giving her a place to travel far away while still physically being with her family.

She married her better half in 2013, and he's been putting up with her craziness every day since. As her anchor, he's her one constant in this insane, forever-changing world.
