Release Blitz & Review: A Game of Choice (A Forbidden Game #1) by Alisha Williams

Title: A Game of Choice
Series: A Forbidden Game #1
Author: Alisha Williams
Release Date:
January 31, 2024

Tobias Monroe has never been just a step-brother to me. From the moment we met as little kids, he’s been my everything. My best friend, my protector, the person I could always rely on for anything.

As the years went on, our relationship developed into something more, something deeper than what was expected of us.

My stupid heart thought that one day, we would take that step over the line that both of us were tip toeing around.

That was until one summer I found him kissing another girl and my whole world crashed around me.

He never showed interest in anyone, giving me the impression he only wanted me. I guess I was wrong.

After that summer, he went off to University, joined the hockey team with his best friend Bishop and everything changed.

We drifted apart slowly, each of us forming lives without the other.

But now I’ve graduated and attending Silver Valley University in the fall. There's no way he can avoid me now.

I don’t know what changed that summer, what made me go from being his entire world to just his little step-sister.

But I intend on finding out. I want what we had back, I want what could have been. I will break him down, get the answers I need. And I’ll stop at nothing to get them.

Disclaimer: I received this book at no cost from the publisher/author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I am leaving a voluntary review and all opinions are my own.

This was such an addicting story. I love a good stepbrother romance as long as it is convincing and this book really captured my attention.

I enjoyed this author's writing style. It was easy to read and easy to connect with. The author did a great job of packing the emotions into the story. The plot was definitely compelling.

These characters were relatable for the most part. Each character was distinct and had a unique personality. I loved the dynamics between the characters.

I loved the bonds that the love interests had. I always love stories with polyamory representation and this one was very convincing.

That cliffhanger really sent me into a tizzy. I truly hope the release date listed for book two is a placeholder and that the book will be released sooner.

Overall, this was a well-written MFM romance that I couldn't put down. I am so eager to read the next book and I am also intrigued to know more about the series before this one since this is a second-generation story.

I'm a 30 year old mama of 2. I LOVE to read and write. I'll read just about anything, but Reverse harems are my favorite!
