Review
Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.
This is a series that is insanely difficult to review without spoilers. Don't worry though, I shall not spoil anything.
First of all, this book is simply captivating. It truly devours your attention because you cannot wait to see how things play out. I like that the author created so much tension and anticipation. I was on the edge of my seat with this one.
As far as love triangle tropes go, this book really does a great job with it. I liked that both of the romantic interests were people from Delaney's past that she had deep connections with. It made the love that much more believable. The reader can really feel the main character's struggle with her feelings. I admit that sometimes that back and forth could be a little frustrating, but still realistic at the same time. It's so easy to put yourself in Delaney's shoes and really feel her mixed feelings and confusion.
Overall, this is a fantastic story about second chances following your heart. I am truly hoping that there is another book that features the love interest that Delaney did not end up with. This was a perfect conclusion to this love triangle story and I am excited to read more from this author!
