I just loved this dose of gritty romance. It is a dark story full of enemies, revenge, suspense, and ultimately love. 

This book had excellent plotting. I was intrigued with the story from the start and my enthusiasm only skyrocketed as I kept reading. Once I thought I knew what was happening, a plot twist would pop up and shock me. I loved the unpredictability in this book. 

I loved the characters. Ares is a typical rich alpha male, but he is also very driven and has a lot more going on under the surface. Dahlia is a great heroine. She is sassy and fierce with a little bit of nerdy. 

The connection that Ares and Dahlia had was intense. The chemistry between them burned hotter than the sun. They resisted the pull between them at first but once they gave in it was all over. Their attraction was undeniable. I very much enjoyed their enemies-to-lovers romance. 

Overall, this is an entertaining, intense, and just incredible story. It will pull you in and entrance you. You'll appreciate all the plot twists and fall in love with the characters. This is an excellent start to a series that I can only imagine will be phenomenal!
