Klara Woods is an aspiring writer … with no inspiration. After one too many disastrous relationships, her quest for a leading man has fizzled out. Bored with her mundane lifestyle, she decides to do whatever it takes to get her head back in the game. When she finds out that one of her favorite authors, Christopher Kaiser, is leading a writers workshop, she’s the first in line to sign up. Could he help spark her creativity again, or will this be just another one of her bad decisions?

Christopher Kaiser is an international best-selling author whose books have taken the romance genre by storm. Rumor has it that his sexy stories are inspired by personal experiences with his many so-called muses. Touted as one of the South’s most notorious playboys, Christopher is too busy living his best life to settle down anytime soon. Besides, what would happen with his writing if he gave up his “explorations”?

Determined to take matters into her own hands, Klara decides to jump-start her love life with a catastrophe of her own making. Unfortunately, an innocent bystander prevents her desperate attempt for attention by rescuing her from yet another one of her bad decisions. Annoyed—and also a bit turned on by this sexy new hero—Klara goes home, defeated. Forcing herself to focus on her writing, she shows up to her first workshop and quickly learns that her hero from earlier is none other than her instructor, Christopher Kaiser. Will she actually learn something from this, or will she be too distracted by her hots for the teacher?

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.

This book was a riot! This book seriously had me laughing out loud. Old southern ladies are the best and Ms. May is one that definitely flipped my giggle switch.

This story has the popular premise of a couple meeting by happenstance or in passing, having a moment of some kind (good or bad) that creates a connection and then finding the other person thrust into their life later on in one way or another. I really liked the way that this premise was executed in this book. The flow of the story was fast-paced and I found myself blazing through the pages. The story definitely kept my attention.

The main characters have some serious chemistry. I really enjoyed their banter. Chris has some commitment issues but Klara isn't one to be walked over. Klara is a fierce sort of woman, which I really liked about her. I always love a strong heroine. Sometimes Chris got on my nerves, but ultimately he was a sweet guy and I warmed up to him.

Overall, I had a great time reading this book! From what I can tell, this is this author's debut title. I am surely a fan of Kat Addams' brand of romantic comedy. I am eager to read the next book in this series and I am curious to see what else comes from this author in the future.

Kat Addams is a forever twenty-nine-year-old fashionista following her lifelong dream of writing contemporary romance inspired by the exotic men she meets in her worldly travels. At least, that’s what she would like for you to think. She’s certainly not a stay-at-home mom indulging in excessive daydreaming, frozen pizzas, an unhealthy addiction to purchasing pajamas, and one too many cocktails on the regular. That’s some other romance author. The poor thing probably has to sneak away upstairs to write her dirty stories! What would her family think? Thankfully, that’s not Kat!
