I am completely blown away by this book! This is a sports romance to write home about. I was completely drawn in and I loved every moment.
It's so easy to fall into this story because there is such an incredible cast of characters. This book displays a serious case of #squadgoals. All of the side characters are relevant and add to the story.
The main characters were fantastic. First of all, Rocky is the epitome of a strong, capable, independent, and feisty woman. She is the type of heroine that I adore. She is inspiring and so relatable. Gage is a walking billboard for sex appeal. He has an alpha personality, is focused, and is so sweet. I loved how family was so important to him.
The romance in this book surpassed my expectations. It was a slow-burn romance that had so much passion. The connection between Gage and Rocky was electric. While there is physical attraction, the attraction between them also stems from respect for the other.
The world-building was great in this. Some sports romances can gloss over the sports and focus way too much on the romance to a believable sports romance, but this book isn't like that. This book shows the readers all about MMA fighting and I loved it! Anytime that I can take a walk in someone else's shoes in a book, I am game! Especially when it is written well like in this book.
Overall, this book has a bit of everything. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll swoon. You will desperately want to join this crew of characters to be a part of their world. I am so excited for the next book in this series! I definitely recommend this series. Especially if sports romance is your jam.
