Two hearts. One extraordinary connection. A love like no other…

Everly.
From the moment I laid eyes on him at the age of fourteen, I knew he was my forever.
We made memories.
We shared our dreams.
He was my world.
But one night, everything changed.
My beautiful life was ripped apart, my heart broken into thousands of pieces, and my only hope of finding freedom was to run.
Life became dark—unbearable—until devastation hit again.
Now, the only way to heal my heart is to make a promise that will break his.

Adam.
Her smile stole my heart the very second I saw her.
Her eyes became my home and I knew our love would last forever.
But then, everything changed.
She was my world, my only love, and I have spent years trying to figure what I did to lose her.
I resigned myself to the fact I wasn’t going to see her again, until fate played its role.
Now she’s back, but as much as I want to help her to heal, I’m still working on fixing my own heart— the one she broke.

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.

This is a story that will stay with you long after you have closed the book. This is an intense and emotional love story that is not sunshine and roses. This is a story that will gut your core and then radiate heat inside you slowly to heal you back again.

This story is told in such an atmospheric way that you feel like you are right inside the story. You truly feel what these characters are feeling. It will make your chest ache as you read, it's that real. You'll probably cry, and that's okay.

Everly is a complex character and her character development is incredible. She reaches a dark and lonely place after certain events unfold in the story. Her struggles are displayed in such an honest way as she tries to find her way out of the darkness.

This book has all the feels, okay? The romance is so wonderful because the love between these two runs so deep that it's profound. They have such a real connection and their chemistry is so natural. They have a second chance romance that you will really root for.

Overall, I was very impressed with this book. I am such a sucker for the love stories with a lot of pain and emotion and this one really is a champion in that arena. The story is told beautifully and flawlessly. I haven't previously read any books from this author but that will soon change. If her other books are anything like this one then she'll have a full-blown fangirl on her hands. Go read this one. You won't regret it!

KLJ lives in South West England just on the edge of Dartmoor where the moorland goes on for days. It's beautiful, breath-taking and occasionally rather wet. She probably swears way more than she should, her mum makes the best cupcakes in history, and she goes weak at the knees for a man with a five o'clock shadow.
