This is a very entertaining, very exciting story! The synopsis for this book really grabbed my attention from the start. I loved how the description felt like an epic fantasy with science fiction undertones.
I loved the writing. The prose is easy to read but doesn't feel simple by any means. Just very smooth writing. I loved the multiple points of view as well. I always like seeing and hearing from different characters in the story. I felt that the author did a nice job of differentiating the point of views so that the reader didn't get too confused. The story is full of action, intrigue, and it compells you to read more. The beginning has a lot of information, but once you get past that then the pace quickens in the story.
A large and very interesting cast of characters awaits in this novel. It was so very easy for these characters to grow on me. I loved getting glimpses of the different walks of life. The characters really brought out some great world-building as well. There are so many details and the lovely writing made the world very corporeal in my mind.
Overall, this was a unique story set in a rich fantasy world. This book has incredible world-building and wonderful characters. This book ends on a cliffhanger, so I am eagerly awaiting book two of this series!
