Release Blitz & Review: Sever by T.L. Smith & Melissa Jane

Title: Sever
Authors: T.L. Smith & Melissa Jane
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: July 18, 2019

One man’s wife is another’s obsession.

We had a love I thought could never be broken. But I was wrong. We weren’t as strong as our vows once promised.

Dark secrets and vicious lies, they tore us apart.

They cut too deep, leaving open wounds.

Pain is something that should ever come from the man you love. Forgiveness, understanding, tenderness, yes. But never pain.

But the fact remains. He is my husband and I am his wife. Perhaps he should have remembered that a year ago when he committed his first sin against our marriage. And perhaps then, I wouldn’t have fallen for the devil.

A devil who had me in his sights from the very beginning.

A devil who swore to never let me go.

REVIEW

Disclaimer: This review MAY contain spoilers. I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.

This is one author collaboration that I am glad to have read. Sometimes authors work marvelously well together and these two have such a good thing going.

This book is such a journey. I am nearly speechless after reading this. I don't read a lot of romantic suspense, but that might have to change. The plotting of this book blew me away. I was so caught up in all the twists and turns in this story. I was perched on the edge of my seat, devouring this book.

This is a dark story. There are so many secrets and lies that you will be second-guessing yourself through the entire book. There is so much emotion packed into this story.

I don't want to say much about the characters without giving anything away, but I really felt for Blythe. The authors really make her struggles come alive in the pages and it is easy to feel for her. As for the other characters, it is really difficult to know who to trust in this book. There is so much deception and secrecy that it will have your head spinning. You will not know who to root for.

Overall, this is a thrilling book that I definitely recommend. It will keep you guessing and will leave you captivated.
