Love Drunk by T.L. Smith is LIVE! #OneClick today!

One month, I fell for him.
Two, I was a goner.
Three, I was a daydreamer.
But by the fourth, it was a nightmare.
Everything came in beats.
Beat one—fantasy.
Beat two—admission.
Beat three—love.
But it’s the fourth beat that completely ruined me.
Beat.
Beat.
Beat.
With a shattered heart.
He was my nightmare.

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.

This book is a doozy. I honestly don't know quite what to think right now. I am definitely having some mixed feelings.

First of all, I did enjoy this book. There were a few things that weren't perfect for me, but I liked the story as a whole. The thing that had me tripped up the most was the whiplash that I was getting from Gunner. I honestly went from hating him to loving him and back and forth again. I couldn't put my finger on him. I also didn't fully connect with either of the main characters. While I definitely empathized with Everly, I still didn't feel her on a deeper level. I enjoyed her story but I didn't feel like I was as invested as I could have been.

Those things aside, this is still a very compelling read. It hits all the right spots to make you want to know more. The main characters definitely had a chemistry that was intense and all-consuming.

Overall, this is a dark and edgy story that will definitely keep you turning the pages. This book will toy with your emotions and leave you on a teeter-totter of feels. I am eager to read the conclusion to this duet and see where the author takes us.
