I am so lost for words right now. This book was above and beyond any of my expectations. I enjoyed the first book of this series and I thought that the second book was infinitely better than the first. When it comes to this book, I couldn't have been more surprised by how much it blew me away. If I thought that Habits was perfect then this book is masterful. The author's storytelling has vastly improved since the first book of the series. 

This is exactly the kind of mature young adult story that I love reading about. This series is fantastic and this book was an excellent end to the series. 

This book pushed way more boundaries than either of the other two did. It was more raw and honest. This book covers many sensitive issues and I think that the author does so gracefully. There are definitely a lot darker themes explored in this story and I honestly think that it makes the entire story feel more real. These things aren't glossed over and while some of the things were hard to stomach, they made the story feel more sincere. 

What I love about this series is that the author writes the characters so intimately. The reader truly feels invested in the lives of the characters. The characters have real growth in the story and their development is amazing. I will be honest. I wasn't too keen on Brook in the first two books. She was closed-off and kind of abrasive. I fell in love with her character in this book. Her story was really a hard one to read but it was the most rewarding in the end. This girl's strength is just...good god. I can't even. Your heart will go out to her in this book and Brook will definitely capture a bit of your heart. I loved Max's character just as much. I could tell from reading the first two books that there was more lurking under the surface of Max Sanders and I was right. He has so many layers and we get to see them all laid bare in this book. I was also surprised again by Andrew's character in this book. He captures your heart in Habits and it is cemented even more so when you read Rules. These characters take a little piece of you into the pages with them and they are ones that certainly stay with you long after you are finished reading. 

The relationship between Brook and Max is one that will get under your skin. They have a very natural chemistry that flows off the pages. Their love story was an absolute delight to experience. It really warmed my heart. 

This is a story that you won't be able to put down. It will draw you in and capture every bit of your soul in the process. This book has all the feels. There is so much drama in these pages but it doesn't feel contrived. It's the kind of story that will move you and have you feeling a gamut of emotions. 

Overall, this book will blow you away. It has excellent writing, characters that will get under your skin, and a plot that will keep you guessing. I am sad that this series has come to an end but I can't wait for the next book from this author!
