This story had some really great character growth. I felt that the characters were very well-rounded. I loved getting to know them. Nix and Payton had a definite connection. Nix has been navigating around one night stands until Payton comes along and he feels an instant pull towards her. I really loved their banter. I also really enjoyed all the secondary characters in the story. I loved the family. I haven't read the other books in this series but I definitely need to. I loved that the story kept me guessing. I enjoyed the plot and the build-up of the romance. This story has all the right pieces to keep you entertained and wanting more.
