This is a story that will mess with your head, sink into your bones, and consume your mind. I haven't read anything like it before. I was immediately drawn into this story. This is my first time reading something from this author and I can definitely say that her brand of dark romance is my cup of tea.
The characters in this book really come alive to the reader. I loved Dove and King and even the secondary characters took a little piece of my heart. They are written so incredibly that the reader feels a real connection to them which only makes their stories come alive. It is so insanely easy to immerse yourself in this world and not want to come up for air.
Overall, this book is addicting and will keep your heart pumping throughout the story. The characters will get under your skin and hold you hostage until you are begging for just one more page. I am eagerly anticipating the next installment of this series and I will be going back to check out this author's backlist.
