Love triangle tropes are tricky. I happen to be one of those people that like them, but only if they can be pulled off convincingly. There has to be reasonable circumstances and adequate emotion in a push and pull kind of way. This book definitely has all of that.
I liked that the love triangle aspect in this book was believable. Delaney is battling her emotions over two boys from high school. One of them was her best friend and the other was her high school sweetheart. The sequence of events in the story really pulls at your heartstrings because Delaney just wants to make the right choice. She cares for both of them and it is difficult for her to put her feelings out there.
There is a lot of back and forth from Delaney as she explores her feelings. It was a little frustrating, but equally understandable. What's good about this book is that it is really gripping and it makes you want more. There is a doozy of a cliffhanger at the end of the book and I am going crazy waiting on the next book.
Overall, this is an emotionally gripping love story that you will want to read. It keeps your attention and has you feeling all sorts of feels. I am so anxious for the next book. I can't wait to see how this plays out.
