This is another incredibly gripping story from Siobhan Davis. This book hooked me early on just like the first book. And like the first book, this book held me hostage in ways that I could only relish in.
One of my most favorite things about this series is that the author has an incredible talent for surprising and shocking the reader. The tension is always high and the drama comes on tenfold. I honestly never know what to expect. And the drama is so juicy that I can't help but salivate over this story. Seriously, I just want more.
Siobhan Davis writes her characters in such an authentic way. You may only be reading about their lives through the pages of this book, but they are really much more than that to the reader. They are expressive, animated, and they altogether have a tangible quality to them. Like you could reach out and touch them. Like you could be the person sitting next to them living their crazy life right along with them. To me, these are the best kinds of characters.
The author really loves to leave us on the edge of a cliff with these endings. Honestly, I might consider jumping over that ledge if I could get the rest of this story. Just saying. -wink-
Overall, this is simply addictive. It's a story full of shocking drama that will leave you with a book hangover that is serious business. You won't know what to do with yourself and that's okay. The book community will be here to help you through your time of need. Honestly, if upper young adult stories are your thing then you should start this series right away. The writing is superb, the plotting is explosive, and the characters are so intense. Plus, it's in Kindle Unlimited right now so if you subscribe then it's an easy win for you. I definitely recommend this. I can't wait for the third book in this series!
