Ryleigh
Growing up in Hollywood, I was surrounded by liars and phonies.
So when I got my law degree, I knew I wanted to work as a district attorney.
Busy days turned to long nights—I was on my way up the ladder.
Then he happened.
Bullied his way into my life as if there was no choice.
Suddenly everything I thought I wanted wasn’t as important.

Stone
I had one thing on my mind and that was never going to change: The game.
The only goal I had was beating the records set by my family.
I didn’t have time for anything else.
Until she walked in the room.
The earth shifted, just like the stories said it would.
I said it wouldn’t happen—not to me.
I didn’t have the time, but now she was the only thing on my mind.
I knew it was her.
Now I had to convince her.

This is the first book in a brand new series from Natasha Madison. I fell into this one quickly and was mesmerized from start to finish.

I enjoyed Natasha Madison's writing style. It really spoke to me and I latched onto it straight away. The execution of the plot was great. The story kept me engaged and wanting more.

These characters were easy to connect with. I enjoyed their distinct personalities and complex characterizations. There was some fantastic character growth. I very much loved the family aspects of the book.

This was a secret romance that was so compelling. Stone and Ryleigh had intense chemistry that couldn't be ignored and their banter was the best. I also love the "he falls first" trope in M/F romance stories so that was a treat. The enemies-to-lovers vibe was played out very well. The spice was great. I loved how their relationship blossomed and I was rooting for them the entire time.

Overall, this was an excellent start to a promising new series. If you are a fan of angsty hockey romance then this book should be at the top of your list. I am excited to see what's next in this series and I am inspired to pick up some backlist titles that I haven't read!

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
