I've been in my hockey romance era for a minute but I am quickly discovering my love for DARK hockey romance. There is something about this niche bracket of the genre that adds a raw edge that speaks to my soul. All my dark romance besties know what I'm talking about.

Mila Kane weaves a compelling tale that sinks its teeth into you and won't let go. I was immediately drawn to her writing style. I connected with it easily. The plot of the story kept me wanting more. I was beyond obsessed.

Kane paints an intimate portrait of these characters. The character development was excellent. The characters were relatable and complex. They were distinct with original personalities. The secondary characters are just as awesome as the main characters. They add lots of depth to the story and keep things interesting.

These two lit the pages of this book on fire with their plethora of heated emotions. The dynamic between them was brilliant and kept me addicted. I just loved the tension. The enemies-to-lovers trope was executed so well in this book. The chemistry between Back and Eve was electric and the spiciness was perfect.

Overall, this author has completely dazzled me. This dark hockey romance is angsty and gritty and will keep you on your toes. There is so much passion in this story, from the hate to the love. If you are a fan of emotional and unpredictable stories with vibrant characters and a riveting plot then this book is for you. If you love hockey romance or dark college romance then definitely pick this one up!
