If you love bully romances then this one will get your heart pumping. I don't know if I will be able to survive that cliffhanger. It might be the end of me. The jury is out.
This story wasn't really your typical bully romance. It was intriguing. There was so much going on and I was at odds with what to believe. I loved the mystery and the plain addictive nature of this story. It pulls you in and keeps your attention.
There is incredible and intense chemistry between the two main characters. You are seriously going to want to fan yourself while reading this book. Ransom is the perfect bad boy anti-hero that you can't help but love. True is the All-American poster girl but there is so much more lying beneath the surface. This is a book that is difficult to review without spoilers so I'll leave it there.
Overall, this is a book that will captivate you from start to finish. The tension between the character is palpable and you won't want to stop reading their story. I am so excited for the next book in this series! I might not make it to release day. Just saying.

“I fucking hate you, you know that?” His words come out a taut, restrained, and he stares straight into my eyes, delivering the blow. I guess I’m becoming immune to his antics, because I just nod my head, biting back the smile that desperately wishes to break free.
Maybe you do. But not nearly as much as you wish…
“And you’re still going to give me the most precious thing you’ve got right now, even knowing I’ve got no love for you? Knowing I don’t even like you, not even a little bit?”
I roll my eyes. If he’s trying to scare me away, to make me second guess myself, it’s not going to work. And if that’s the case, I think that speaks more to his own shitshow of feelings and not being able to sort through them, than anything I’ve done.
“Steph says sex angry sex is the best. I’m betting hate sex might be even better…” I shoot him a cocky smirk.
“How will you know? You have nothing to compare it to…”
“Not now, maybe. But I will one day.”
