This was my first time reading a book from this author and I was totally swept away! I know that this is a second-generation series and now I have to read the other series by this author!

The Keeper's List of Awesome: 

- There are Vegas wedding shenanigans!

- A writing style that I felt to my bones. I connected with it so hard.

- A FMC with fantastic character growth. You can't help but root for her.

- A protector hero who will do anything for his lady. Seriously swoon-worthy to his core!

- A compelling plot that kept me wanting more.

- "My wife." OMG, yes, please!

- Vivid imagery in the world-building that made me feel present in the story.

- A couple with a soul-deep connection that is clear as day.

- There is a shared trauma element to the story that is explored perfectly.

- A never-ending supply of friendship and found family vibes. 

- Memorable characters that will win you over.

- Feels for days and days!

Overall, this book impressed me and I can't wait for the next book in this series. I am so eager to go through Matthews' backlist and catch up on her other series. This is a sports romance that you definitely need on your shelf if you enjoy your love stories with unforgettable characters and top-notch storytelling.
