Stowaway starts off where the first book, Cargo, leaves off. This time around we hear things from Nathan's point of view. I rather enjoyed hearing things as Nathan sees them as opposed to Cassidy.
Again, in this book the descriptions of the world are outstanding. You really get a sense of the bleak atmosphere and landscape.
The plot is good, but I thought that it could have been better. I enjoyed the alien aspect of the book and the hybrids. It was all very intriguing and kept me wanting more information. I really wish there could have been more explanations for certain things becasue sometimes they felt vague. I am the sort of person that requires oodles of details. The more the better.
Overall, I anticipated more from this sequel. I enjoyed everything, but wanted so much more. I will definitely continue the series. I feel very invested in the story, and the premise is still very compelling. If you are a fan of dystopians, then I would grab this series!

I am such a dystopian junkie that I knew I had to read this book! I was intrigued by the compelling plot and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. And let's not forget how pretty that cover is!
This book was definitely a fast paced read. It reads more like a novella than a novel. The writing itself was pleasant and very easy to follow, but a tad too simple. I was a little apprehensive about this at first since this is such a short novel, but by the end I didn't even think twice about it. The flow of the story was perfect.
I found the world building very vivid and real. You could get a real feeling for the landscape and the state of this dystopian world. You can experience the essence of this destroyed world in the writing.
The plot was very suspenseful and intriguing, but I felt like explanations were not suitable enough. I left with so many unanswered questions about the story. While the premise is compelling, the execution lacked a bit.
I enjoyed Cassidy's character. She was easy to realte to and was very well rounded. There is a lot of tension between her and Nathan. Despite his standoffishness, I liked his character a lot as well.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read with a lot of potential. I am looking forward to the next installment of this series. If you are a fan of young adult dystopian novels, then you will find this right up your alley. I would definitely recommend taking a chance on this one!
