If you love Hallmark Christmas movies but wish they would take a stroll down Spice Lane then this book is what you are looking for. All the Christmas goodness and holiday vibes but with added spice. 

Winter Break Up has: 

- High school sweethearts!

- A second chance romance that measures up.

- Family themes that make my heart burst with joy.

- Main characters with a strong connection and chemistry for days.

- A Brother's Best Friend twist. 

- Impeccable storytelling!

- A warm and polished writing style that really spoke to me.

- A swoony athlete MMC.

- "The one that got away."

- Anxiety and mental health representation.

The one issue that I had with the book was that it felt too short. I normally like my novels on the longer side because the world-building and character development tend to be lacking otherwise. For this book, I think that it should have been a little longer to add a bit of depth to the characters and the story as a whole. This book has all the right ingredients (check list above), it just needs to be baked a little bit longer. 

Overall, this is an outstanding holiday romance that brings on all the Christmas spirit. If second chance and brother's best friend are some of your favorite tropes and you also love holiday romance then this book is made for you. I really loved Mercer and Emily's love story and I can't wait for the next story from this author!
