Release Blitz & Review: Childish Dreams by Malorie Verdant

Release Date: April 2, 2020

It was just a singing competition, aired to thousands of people live on television.

It was just a choice.

One between the boy who has always supported her and the teen rock star who was paid to judge her.

It was just a fantasy world.

Filled with moments of fear, euphoria and jealousy.

It was a childish dream.

One that she was willing to fight for.

This book was glorious! I loved it more than words can say. There wasn't anything about this book that I didn't like. I was drawn in my the gorgeous cover and the exciting synopsis and the story just wouldn't let me go.

The first thing that I noticed about this book was how much I loved the narration. The author's writing voice was wonderful. The writing was so smooth and the style was a delight to read.

The characters were great. There are three different POVs that we get to see in the story. I really liked all of their voices. I was actually glad that the author chose to include all three perspectives in the tale. It really added more depth to the story. All of the characters were easy to connect with and they were very relatable. The relationships between characters were wonderfully crafted. I loved the display of friendships, family, and even love.

I really loved the love story. The romance had a slow-burn style that was extremely gratifying. The way that Jax showed how much he cared for Billie and the way that he shared his world with her was beautiful.

The plot of the story was very intriguing from start to end. I loved the suspense that was added to the story. It didn't dominate the story but added a little something extra to keep the reader turning the pages. I loved the look inside the music industry as well as the look inside of reality television. There was always something exciting happening. I loved the drama and conflicts that arose in the story. The entire story was interesting and entertaining.

Overall, this is a well-written story with a sweet love story and a plot that keeps you wanting more. I enjoyed every moment of this book and I cannot wait to try another book from this author.

Meet Malorie Verdant

I first started reading romance when I was twelve.

My mother handed me her copy of Nora Robert's Midnight Bayou and with resignation said, "Here you'll love it, just skip the sex scenes or at least tell me you did."

She knew I was young and she hoped I didn't understand the diverse innuendos, but she also saw early on that I was a hopeless romantic and had a joy and thirst for romance novels that not even she and her protective motherly instincts could stop.
