This author is fast becoming a go-to author for me when it comes to dark and gritty stories that keep me plastered to the pages. This is a story with ups and downs that I couldn't get enough of. I was a little iffy about Gunner's character at first but he definitely grew on me by the end of this book. I love how strong Everly is. The character growth is fantastic. This is a story that will make you think and will have your emotions in twists. This is definitely a duet that you have to give a chance because things change from the first book to the second one. This is an enthralling duet and this book wraps everything up nicely. I definitely recommend this gritty story.
