In the early hours after Halloween of 1988, four 12-year-old newspaper delivery girls uncover the most important story of all time. Suburban drama and otherworldly mysteries collide in this smash-hit series about nostalgia, first jobs, and the last days of childhood.

MY REVIEW
This was quite an interesting read. It was definitely not what I was expecting. Some of the things referenced in the book were nostalgic to me, since I was a child of the '80s. Going into this, I thought that this would be about some tough newspaper delivery girls holding down their turf. I wasn't expecting the science fiction aspect. I admit, I was hella confused through the entire thing, but I still wanted to read more. I absolutely love the style of the artwork. The colors are gorgeous. I am really exciting to see where this story goes.

The smash-hit series from BRIAN K. VAUGHAN and CLIFF CHIANG continues with a bold new direction, as intrepid young newspaper deliverers Erin, Mac, and Tiffany find themselves launched from 1988 to a distant and terrifying future...the year 2016.

MY REVIEW
The second volume of this series gets even more strange than the first one was. I can't decipher if this story is about time travel, alternate realities, or parallel worlds. I actually think that not knowing is making the story that much better. Things are happening, and you are thinking, "WTF?" Some of the characters seem evil in nature, but you really have no idea what their end game is. Again, the artwork in this series is gorgeous! I love the coloring. There are so many mysteries that I can't wait to discover the answers to! The creepy/weird factor in this reminds me of the Stranger Things series on Netflix. If you like strange comics, I definitely recommend this series.

I could use a comic fix, so tell me some awesome comics that you've read recently! What comics do you gravitate towards? Do you enjoy any comics that aren't about superheroes?
